Femme Fatale Photo Gallery!!!
There was a lot of work leading up to our first official event. Between finishing all the apparel, getting the website up and running, new business cards, crazy touring schedules of JHB, the many trips up the canyon for snow in 75 degree weather, setting up the Femme Fatale course and just general preparation for holding the event, there was a ton of work to be done. With it all said and done, it's bitter sweet... All the hard work payed off with an incredibly fun event for everyone involved. It was all worth it!
The first thing we needed for a good snowboarding event would be... SNOW! The 75 degree weather took it's toll on the two trailer loads worth of snow loaded in the day before. What was a recipe for disaster turned into quick action... A last minute trip up the canyon for another load of snow truely saved the day... Props to Michael, Joe, Darren, Dani, Greg, Heather, John, J.B. & Friend, Jordan, Patrick & anyone else that picked up a shovel to bring snow to the event! You guys are truely our 'snowmen'... oh and Women! :)
Everything from registration to the BBQ to the fabulous Board Bunnies products were set for the evenings event. Thanks goes out to Tierney Mower (aka T-Bunny) for helping us get things just right, Dani (the registration tables were a big help), and to Katrina & Nadia for manning the registration and keeping folks in line!
Waiting until the last minute seemed to be key for keeping as much snow as possible to spread over the course... It was really awesome to see how willing everyone was to help get things ready to go. The ongoing theme you'll notice will be complete gratitude from us here at Board Bunnies... All of our friends ROCK!!!
How sweet it is to have Fuze close at hand after flowing the ramps and riding the rails.
What's that Joe? You say you need an extra boost of energy to get the course set up... Well it looks like you found it. I don't know if you know this, but Fuze RULES!!! ...even Darren agrees!
Slowly taking shape, the snow pile soon became runs with 3 main lines to hit... the kicker, the rainbow and the funbox. Although you'll see some variations to those lines somewhere later in the gallery...
If you know here like we know her, then you'd know that Lindsay does as Lindsay does... It's that quiet confidence that really exemplifies her true Board Bunnies nature. Ahhh yeah, peace, love, and Lindsay Hale!!!
Professional ramp technician Troy Stieneckert was brought in for special snow maintenance. Nothing but the best at Femme Fatale... In the background you can see the first tester for the mammoth 10' drop in, that Patrick is a Board Bunny at heart!
Niko rolled up and put the nose down... no hesitation, just juiced that drop-in for all it's speed!
Local badass Daniella (aka: Dan Nielson) showed up to shred the dry areas of Gnarnia on his skateboard, he/she also helped with judging duties... Big thanks!
Chris Showed up with ski's and charged the snow then grabbed his skateboard and put a hurting on the box jump over on the mini side of things... only at Gnarnia!
Little miss Steineckert knew what she wanted, Fuze is a great start for a young Bunny, see you on the slopes soon!
It's official... Femme Fatale marks the birthday for Board Bunnies, do you really think it was by mistake that it was held on 3/21? It was a countdown for greatness! ;) It's all availble in our products page, so go peep it after you're done peepin' our pics, please!
Nicole Neugebauer dials in the big drop prior to the start of the event. The snow looks a little flat from the photo, but there's a nice size jump at the bottom... Go Bunnies!
Michael played role of grill master flash and made sure all our dawgs got dogs without getting dogged! Hot diggity dog! Thanks Michael!
Annie Smith gets ready for a shred fest with a refreshing fruit Fuze...
I know sequence shot is a bit confusing, but we'll try and get ya a motion gif up on myspace for you to check it out... Dani Bastian with a 270 blind drop in... SICK! This is one of the standouts that put Dani Bastian in first place.
This was Lindsay's first day on a rainbow rail and she adapts as she always does with smooth style and total confidence. Dialed and delightful!

We had to pull the girls off the course to give the results... Even after the comp was done, they continued to ride and ride hard. True heart in all of them!

Comparing the scrapes and bruises from throwing down! Gangsta's!
These seemed like the part of the body that would get worked the most... if only you could kiss it better....
Looks like Rhianna would have been able to kiss her own elbow better... I tried this for about a half hour after seeing this and all I got was a sore shoulder and a kinked neck...
Not quite yet... The evening session started up with the help of a few flood lights... Dani Bastian represents the Fuze right!
Tierney was helping keep the event rolling smoothly, but found time at the end to work on some steezie board slides!
