Last Night

Last night I met with Hailee Mattingley, a girl who knows how to shred on a snowboard. I’m taking her on as one of my Board Bunnies sponsored riders. She is on her way to the finals at USASA this weekend and her goal is to podium. I wish her all the luck and am sure she’s going to give the other girls a run for their money.

Revolution Winter Shredfest…

The CrewFriday night the Board Bunnies came out to play with our friends at Revolution Snowboards. We had a BB booth with all of our new products for this season. Our team skaters, Brooke and Ashley tore it up on the ramp, all while the snowboarding section of the event was going down.

Stance Premier in SLC

Saturday night at the Depot in SLC, I attended the premiere of Stance, the new all women’s snowboard film. Skater Ashley met up with me there and she introduced me to a couple new friends. Little Rachel is always down for the snowboarding premiers and rolled with. The atmosphere was super chill, but I was a little disappointed when the film didn’t start rollin’ until 10:45 pm! It was worth the wait though. The opening of the flick has a very 300, gladiator movie feel to it. I was sitting next to Hanna Beaman and got some of the background on some of the shots. I have to admit that the film is inspiring and I recommend watching it before the season starts. You can download it for free on the Stance website.
On a side note, I have decided that I am really not a fan of the product throw outs. I wanted to give my catching skills a whirl so I got out on the floor to get some booty. When the product starts flyin’, it’s every man for himself and chaos commences. People pushing, pulling, and screaming. It was madness. The snow pants should have been mine, but some creep apparently really wanted women’s pants and pried them from my fingers. I wasn’t stoked.
Overall though, it was worth it.

Road Trippin’

Yesterday I made my way through Grand Junction, CO and on up to the Rockies. Vail and Breckenridge are the bomb. :) I made some new friends at Traz in Grand Junction and met some cool kats at the Vail skatepark who directed me to the nearest board shop. The only 2 bummers of the day were the shops that were closed, and the lack of parking in Vail.

The Walking Bridge at Vail... no cars allowed in this giant place.

The BMX guys I’m traveling with had 3 shows at different schools yesterday. John from SuperRamp Technologies shot me over this pic.

Good Times.

Sk-art at the Painted Temple Tattoo

The Board Bunnies were excited to help Painted Temple Tattoo with the grand opening of their new location in Provo, UT on University Ave. The new location has a beautiful art gallery and for the month of September, skate deck art is the exhibit theme. We have a deck on display in their reception, :) They also have a super rad parking lot that SuperRamp Technologies and the Board Bunnies set ramps up in for skaters and bmx riders to play on. We want to thank Painted Temple for inviting us out to their night of Sk-art!

Last Friday night season passes went on sale for the 09/10 winter! We brought out the mini and joined in the party out in the parking lot to celebrate. We saw a lot of old friends and made some new ones.

The Skate Team at the Supergirl Contest (Woodward West)

Last week our skate team headed to Woodward West for one of the largest women’s all girl skate contests in the world. Our newest team skater, Brooke Whipp killed it and made it into the finals. Anna showed us some of her signature moves and Jenn showed us her black and blue ankle. We missed Ashley, but she’ll be with us next time. We also picked up a 5 year old (Annika Vryklan) to represent the Bunnies. She has some sick moves and I’m not even exaggerating. Check out our web edit and stay tuned on the boardbunnies.com site for the gallery. Also, a shout out to FUZE for the delicious hydration!

My Day in Park City…

We like the cars, the cars that go BOOM!

We like the cars, the cars that go BOOM!

It was a beautiful day in Park City. A great day to go visit the resorts and talk to the shops. I am so excited to announce that Park City’s Legacy Sports will be carrying our beanies for the upcoming season. We are going to be doing some special designs for them that are not in the catalog, so go check em’ out! While out today, I also saw something unusual for that area of BMWs and Mercedes. Not only did it bounce, but this car’s hydraulics were off the hook! Haha :D
